Jeremy C. Parker, PE

jeremy200pixThe founding principal of the firm has over 17 years in the HVAC industry.  As early as 1996, he worked as a helper at Parker Services Inc.  By 1998, Jeremy was heading a
small crew performing residential and small commercial HVAC installs.  Throughout his college career, Jeremy fabricated and installed duct and managed the installation of HVAC systems.  By 2005, Jeremy was a commercial estimator and project manager for HVAC projects.  Jeremy accepted a full time position with Winton Engineering after graduating FSU, and worked for 2 years designing HVAC and plumbing systems for a variety of project types including minor projects for the Leon County School Board.  In 2008 he moved to TLC and for 2 years gained experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems for public and private projects, including laboratory facilities, steam systems, datacom facilities, medical facilities, and various education and office facilities.  As an engineer and project manager, Jeremy is uniquely qualified, having worked in every role associated with mechanical projects.  From construction, sales, cost estimation, construction project management, to all duties involved with the design of mechanical systems, Jeremy’s practical experience makes him a most valuable asset to your project needs.

Robert E. Gelhardt II, PE, LEED AP BD+C

robii200pixRobert Gelhardt was born and raised in Tallahassee and a Graduate of University of Central Florida. Even though his alma mater is the Golden Knights he will tell you that he bleeds Garnet and Gold. He joined Modern Professional Engineering in April 2013 and has since proven to be a valuable addition to the team. Robert became involved in HVAC while majoring in mechanical engineering at UCF.  As a part time graduate engineer at CHPA in Maitland Florida he decided Mechanical Consulting was his calling. He went on to found the ASHRAE student chapter at the University of Central Florida. Since then he has gained over 10 years experience in the design, specification, and management of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection engineering projects.  Throughout his experience he has had over 30,000 hours of CAD and Modeling work. He has done building energy modeling for many LEED certified projects. He has performed Life Cycle cost analysis, Construction Cost Estimates and Engineering Studies. There is no engineering task that he cannot handle. While employed with H2 Engineering and TLC, he held various roles in major construction projects for DMS, FSU, FAMU, TMH among others. He has been with Modern Professional Engineering (MPE) since 2013. He is a main contributor to the production team at MPE. He is directly involved with every project that is produced through the firm.

James M. Lamb PE (Applied Research and Design)

jml200pixRight from the beginning, we teamed with James Lamb and Applied Research & Design to be able to provide full service M, E, & P engineering to our clients.  It was a natural pairing, as Jeremy had worked closely with James during his years at Winton Engineering.  The pairing of MPE and ARD has been a successful combination of our firm.  We are able to provide a high level of coordination and present ourselves as a

James Lamb is a native of Tallahassee and a graduate of Florida State University (BSEE ’93, MSEE ’96).  James has been a licensed professional engineer since 1998, and is experienced with new construction and renovation projects in educational, commercial, industrial, and health care facilities.  James has provided electrical engineering for projects for colleges and universities throughout our area, including FAMU, Chipola College, Thomas University, TCC, and of course FSU.  Notable projects include the new academic building at Thomas University (completion summer 2013), which includes a 120-seat lecture hall, three smaller classrooms, and over 25 offices for faculty and staff. James is also experienced with engineering for laboratories, site lighting, IT rooms, and standby power systems.
